Great Driver's License Pic? Yes, Please!

Once you are old enough to get your driver’s license photo taken, the preparation is essential. Take a look at these tips to take the best photo ever!
  • Do not wear white, it tends to make people look sickly under the lighting at the DMV.
  • Avoid wearing t- shirts with slogans, plain shirts with soft colors such as blue, green and pink tend to be the best.
  • If you are getting your photo taken during allergy season or if you have a cold, use eye drops and make sure your eyes wide open.
  • Keep your hair neat and normal, today is not the day to try out a fancy hair do or new hair color.
  • Ladies, know how to wear your makeup. Too much eye shadow tends to make your eyes disappear and too little makes you look like a zombie. Practice makes perfect!
  • Like we said before, practice makes perfect! It may seem silly to practice smiling in the mirror but it can only benefit you in the end.
  • Be on time for your appointment and stay patient. DMV’s are notoriously slow but the wait will be worth a great picture!

D.I.Y. Diva Project

Give your car a touch of DIY elegance with a natural air freshener!
You will need: 1 orange, 20 cloves, and some ribbon.
Step 1: Poke cloves into the orange, distributing them evenly.
Step 2: Tie the ribbon around the orange, creating a cage of ribbon around it. Leave some length at the end to tie in a loop.
Step 3: Secure it to the rear view mirror using the loop of ribbon and voila!
When the sun shines through the windshield it will heat the oranges and cloves creating a pleasant relaxing aroma. Martha Stewart and Lauren Conrad have nothing on you!

Car Maintenance: 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Style

Things You Know About Cars if You Have Seen ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’
·  Cereal is the worst thing to eat in the car.
·  Even though your friends are a great bunch of people, you will probably regret it if you let them borrow your car.
·  Getting in a car accident with someone could lead to romance.
·  If you throw something out of the front window of your car, it will probably get stuck to the side of your car or fly in again through your back window.
·  Never…ever…start a camp fire in a moving truck.

Summer Too Hot to Handle? Not With These Tips!

Summer just got a whole lot cooler. If you always follow these two rules, you’ll always avoid sweating the small stuff.
ALWAYS avoid using your AC for as long as possible. It might be a little uncomfortable, but if you can deal with cracking the windows, it’s a small effort that will save you big down the road. Hunt for underground parking, shade trees, and ALWAYS be sure you’re equipped with a sunshade just in case.
Once you’ve reached that too-hot-to-handle part of summer and begin using the AC in your car, ALWAYS use recirculation mode! You should activate recirculation as soon as you can feel the AC start pumping out cool air. This causes the AC system to recycle the cool air that’s already in the car instead of cooling new hot air from outside. Why make your car work double-time?
